Western Sahara Flag Mug
The flag of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, adopted in February 1976, consists of three horizontal bands in black, white and green. On the hoist side of the flag is arranged a red corner, the middle white stripe bears the symbol of a pentagram and a crescent. The colors used have traditional Arabic characteristics that represent the solidarity between the Arab countries. In addition, red represents the revolutionary and progressive character of the state. The crescent and star are traditional symbols of Islam. The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic has only been partially recognized since Morocco claimed part of the territory.
